As we at long last head towards the light and away from the darkness of the long Covid lockdown (fingers crossed!) we are excitingly looking forward to opening the To You From Me Gifts high street store in Virginia Water again.
We sadly had to close the gift shop in December when lockdown started after just two and half weeks of trading. In that time we were delighted with the number of customers and visitors we had to the shop and all of the lovely comments and good luck wishes. It was so frustrating after all our work getting the shop decorated and stocked but it had to be.
So now we can think again about opening week commencing 12th April! We are already heavily immersed in sorting, cleaning, decorating and restocking and passers by seeing the lights on are talking a peek to see what goodies we have!
Kate and Charlotte have been very busy analysing what sold well and what was a little slow and have made decisions on stock and ranges for the reopening. It’s a tricky process as when we were open it was the run-up to Christmas and what people buy then is not the same as what they will buy as we head from Spring towards Summer.
Our core ranges include homewares, celebration gifts, scarves, ladies clothing, candles, soaps and bath goods, children’s wear, greeting cards and helium balloons. We have new suppliers in many of these areas and new ranges from those suppliers who enjoyed good sales when we last opened.
Obviously we are all going to need to keep safe and sensible to keep the virus at bay so the sanitiser, masks and social distancing will still be around but hopefully if we all do the right thing it won’t be long before we can get back to a ‘proper normal’.
So, we’re looking forward to seeing you all in April when we open. Pop in for a browse and to say 'Hi' and hopefully find that perfect little gift for someone you love!
